Undergraduate Research Scholars (URS)
The Office of Research & Creative Scholarship awards Undergraduate Research Scholar awards of $750 per semester to undergraduates involved in an independent research project under the guidance of a faculty mentor, in the mentor’s area of expertise.
Graduate Student Grants in Aid of Research (GAR)
The School of Graduate Studies offers graduate students the opportunity to apply for a Grant-in-Aid-of-Research of up to $1000 to help defray their research expenses (travel for research and other research expenses).
For graduate and undergraduate students who are giving research presentations (oral or poster) at a disciplinary professional meeting, such as the American Chemical Society meetings, the Office of Research will match the department contribution for actual expenses incurred, up to a total of $500 per student.
The Office of Research & Creative Scholarship has compiled a list of external grants and scholarships for undergraduate and graduate students.
Students involved in sponsored research are required to complete the Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) training. Additional training and development opportunities are available such as online workshops, presentations, and articles.
Research Software: Andrews University has site licenses for NVivo, SPSS, and Endnote.
